Returns, Refunds & Personalised Products Policy
This policy applies to clothing, mugs, caps and other products purchased through the Spectrum PC apparel and merchandise section. It should be read with our general Terms & Conditions. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
Last updated: 9 September 2026
1. Standard, non-personalised products
If you purchase a standard, non-personalised product online, you have the right to change your mind and cancel your purchase. You must notify us within 14 days of receiving your order. After notifying us, you have a further 14 days to return the product. You do not need to provide a reason.
2. Condition of returned products
You may inspect and handle a product as you reasonably could in a physical shop. Where reasonably possible, returned products should be clean and undamaged; unworn other than for reasonable fitting or inspection; free from stains, odours, pet hair or other signs of use; and returned with any original tags, accessories and packaging where applicable.
We may make an appropriate deduction from the refund if handling beyond what would reasonably be permitted in a shop has reduced the product's value.
3. Personalised and custom-made products
Products made to the customer's specification or clearly personalised are not covered by the standard right to cancel simply because the customer has changed their mind. This includes clothing printed with a customer's photograph or image; products featuring a chosen name or wording; custom artwork or designs; products printed using a customer-supplied file; and products made or modified to individual instructions.
Once production has begun, a personalised or custom-made item cannot normally be cancelled, returned or exchanged because the customer changed their mind, ordered the wrong size, selected the wrong design or no longer wants it. This does not affect rights where the product is faulty, damaged, not as described or produced incorrectly by us.
4. Customer-supplied designs and information
Customers are responsible for checking all information supplied for personalised products before ordering, including names and spelling, wording, sizes, selected colours, photographs, uploaded graphics, positioning and other customisation instructions. Where a product has been produced correctly from information or files supplied and approved by the customer, an error in that material will not normally be treated as a manufacturing fault.
5. Content and printing restrictions
Spectrum PC reserves the right to refuse, suspend or cancel a personalised or custom-print order where customer-supplied content is, or we reasonably believe may be, illegal or unlawful; infringing copyright, trade marks or other intellectual-property rights; defamatory, threatening, harassing or otherwise prohibited by law; discriminatory or promoting hatred or unlawful violence; obscene or otherwise inappropriate for us to reproduce; or connected with fraud, criminal activity or another unlawful purpose.
Customers must own, or have the necessary permission or licence to use, any photographs, logos, artwork, text, trade marks or other material submitted for printing. By submitting material, the customer confirms that we may reproduce it to fulfil the order. Spectrum PC is not responsible for determining ownership of customer-supplied material, but may request evidence of permission or ownership. If we refuse or cancel an order before production, any amount paid for the affected item will be refunded where appropriate. Nothing in this section limits rights or remedies available under applicable UK law.
6. Colours and product appearance
We make reasonable efforts to display product colours, artwork and printed designs accurately. Colours shown on a phone, tablet, monitor or other screen may vary slightly from the finished product. Minor variations caused by screen settings, printing processes, fabric texture or the material printed on are not necessarily defects. This does not affect your rights if the product is materially different from its description.
7. Faulty, damaged or incorrect products
If an item is faulty, damaged, not as described or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible. This applies to standard and personalised products. Depending on the circumstances and your rights under UK consumer law, an appropriate remedy may include a refund, repair or replacement.
8. Return postage
For a standard product returned because the customer has changed their mind, the customer is responsible for the return cost unless we agree otherwise. We recommend obtaining proof of postage and using an appropriate tracked service. Return costs for an item that is faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise not in conformity with the contract will be handled in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.
9. Refunds
Eligible change-of-mind refunds will normally be made using the original payment method. Where the whole eligible order is cancelled, we will also refund the standard delivery charge where required by law; any additional cost of a more expensive delivery option need not be refunded. Refunds will be processed within the applicable statutory time limit after we receive the returned goods or acceptable evidence that they have been returned.
10. Exchanges
For standard, non-personalised products, please contact us if you wish to exchange an item, for example for a different size. Personalised or custom-made products cannot normally be exchanged because of a change of mind or an incorrect selection by the customer. This does not apply where the product is faulty, incorrect or not as described.
11. How to request a return
Email spectrumpc.uk@gmail.com and provide your name, order number, the product concerned, the reason for contacting us and photographs where the item is damaged, faulty or incorrectly printed. We will provide further instructions where a return is required.
12. Your statutory rights
This policy does not exclude, restrict or replace rights under applicable UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
